GIRL!!!!!Wow, what a day. I woke up at 4am and could not go back to sleep. Now, if you know me well you know that sleeping is definitely not a problem for me so this was very strange. I grabbed my pillow and blanket and headed out to the couch in the living room to watch some tv while Rob slept. I couldn't wait for 10am to come but I was completely nervous about it too. Once we got to the Dr's office everything went really well . She looks great and is measuring 5 days bigger than we had expected. She was very active and was stretching and waving throughout the ultrasound.
We had the tech. write down the sex instead of telling us in the office. When we left we headed down to one of our favorite beaches and opened up the sealed envelope. This is what it said.....
We were so excited and a little bit scared. All of the sudden everything became so real for both of us. What the heck have we gotten ourself into???
We left the beach and went to see my mom and give her the news. We put a pink ribbon around Lily's neck and let her run up to my mom. Needless to say, Grammy is very excited! When we got home I balled my eyes out for a good while. I was over tired, over excited, and over hormonal I guess. For some reason I felt like we had to have everything ready for our little Ms. immediately and I was completely overwhelmed. My mom took me shopping and now I feel much better. So, I think that I will be in bed by 8pm tonight.
Oh my Gosh...we are going to have a baby girl!!!! Yee Haw!!
PS- The fortune cookie from 2 nights ago was right...

I cannot believe that the fortune cookie predicted it for you...kind of creepy!!!!!! Maybe it will be a little Chinese girl! :) JK! I am so excited!!!!!
What a day baby! I'm so happy that our little girl is healthy and we finally know it's a she so we can narrow down the names a little! [and to shauna: No rice here! She'a gonna be grade-A american!]
Oh we are soooo happy for ya'll! Words can't even describe it! And yes, LB, of course i read your blog...i have the most boring job on EARTH! I cannot wait to be buying her little pink, preppy outfits...we all know she'll be a mini-Laura complete with flipped up collars and seersucker shorts running around the lawn at The Chart Room...I can picture it! We are so happy for you. And Rob, Tim says...way to go dude.
Congrats, Laura and Rob! So excited to go on a Lily shopping spree for the new baby girl! She looks so big and healthy in the ultrasound! I am so happy for you!

Oh, I am so excited for the both of you. I am so horrible at writing and corresponding, but I love you with all my heart. I only hope this baby comes out with the huge beautiful brown eyes that you had Laura. I am so thrilled@
