It definitely STINKS to have to work on the 4th. But, my shop has the best view of the Chatham 4th of July parade. Talk about a slice of Americana. This town is so awesome, especially in the summer. Between the parade and the friday night band concerts it is just so sweet. And where else can you find a float that is a tribute to the town watering hole (otherwise known as The Chatham Squire)? The float came complete with a cooler full of beers that the float riders were drinking (this is all at 9:30 am). There were lots of left-wing floats and also lots of right-wing floats making for a very well-rounded parade! Sorry these pictures aren't great...I took them with my cell phone because I left my digital at home. The second picture is the one of the beer drinkers. Well, I hope everyone enjoys this Independence Day! Happy BBQ-ing!!
