The Bogs!!

We have discovered a new spot here on The Cape. Since the beach has become too cold and windy for the baby, we had to find a new place to let Lily run. We decided to stop at one of the cranberry bogs down the street from our house. I have always noticed people taking their dogs there but I never thought anything of it. I grew up less than a mile from this bog and I can't believe that I never really went exploring there (except for ice skating in the winter). It is so COOL! There is a small pond on the property that you cannot see from the road and a nice trail that surrounds the whole bog. It is about a 30 minute walk around the whole thing. It is the prettiest walk and it is so peaceful. Lily loves it. She can run and run and run and run and run... And, because there are woods surrounding the bog, it isn't very windy at all. We bundle up Payson and throw her in the Bjorn and we are off. Exercise for mommy and daddy and Lily and fresh air for the baby. Soon the bogs will be flooded and frozen and then they will be perfect for ice skating.

Me and Payson all bundled up.

Rob and Lily with the awesome colors of the bogs behind them. Makes me hungry for cranberry bread. I love this picture!

So that's where they get the name "Cape Cod" when I order a vodka/cranberry...

I love that ya'll LOVE your Lily so much. I'm equally as in love with my dog, Sandy. People said once I had a baby my dog would be "put on the back burner." It didn't happen for me, and I can see it didn't happen for you either! Also, I can't begin to imagine what "cold" feels like or having to "bundle up" Abby. It's 80 here! That area where you were looks beautiful.

Whoa, Lily! Look at her go! I'm trying to think if that is the bog that Coach Ho' used to make us run on...I'm glad you guys found a nice spot to go walking!
