We went out for sushi yesterday and payson slept right through it!
Rob took her down to his "man room" in the basement. I could hear him playing his keyboard so I went down and this is what I found...
She actually fell asleep while he was playing. It could be our new getting her to sleep trick!
And now for the big news...We started our new "healthy way of living" on Monday. We are working out on the elliptical and eating healthier. I would like to lose 25 lbs by the beginning of June. We are thinking about heading down to Florida for Rob's big 30 this year on June 6th and we would both like to look and feel better. Rob just wants to replace some fat with some muscle. He'll probably be able to accomplish his goal in about 2 weeks while I will need right up until the 6th of June to accomplish mine. Well, now I have put it out there so I guess I have to do it. You will all hold me accountable right? I was thinking that I would start posting belly pictures each week like I did with my pregnancy. It would be a shrinking belly instead of a ballooning one. But, there is not a chance in hell that I am putting belly shots up so don't even get your hopes up ;0) Did you notice how I put "healthy way of living" instead of the word DIET. I hate the word diet because a diet eventually ends...we want to STAY healthy. So, I am assuming that if you eat healthy you will lose weight, right? But, here is my question...Should I buy the low-cal bread with 40 calories per slice or the whole grain bread that has 100 calories per slice but has lots of grains and fiber. Do I buy things with artificial sweetener and zero calories or things with more calories that are more natural? I am totally confused...Help!
Okay, I think that I have written enough random stuff on this post today. If you made it to the end, thank you for reading!
Happy Wednesday!

get the english muffins that have 100 cal's with no sugar added jelly. The muff's are high in fiber and have 5 grams of protein!
I MISS YOU!
That is a great question about low fat versus more substance! I have no idea of the answer. And I will post belly shots if you will. I will not DO belly shots! :) JK - I have an unfair advantage with the 2 1/2 year lapse since baby in the belly. At least, I better, or I will kill myself. Ok - not really. I am rambling because you did in the post and I just want to stay with the flow!
I know I'm a little late on this post, but my mom is a diabetic educator (who works hand in hand with a dietician everyday), and while she was here helping me get better we talked about your blog. She said she buys bread that is only 100cal. per slice that also has lots of grains and fiber. And if you're wanting to lose weight, getting drinks with no calories is really the better way to go. The natural things tend to have more sugars in it. I know you wouldn't want to drink it all the time, but water is the best thing to have, but then you should look at the things that have 0 or fewer calories. Crystal Light is good with lots of different flavors. Also, she mentioned that most hospitals have free nutrition classes...so if you were interested you could call the hospital closest to you to see if they offer one.
