The cupcakes turned out pretty good, but the cream cheese frosting was to die for! (Recipe courtesy of Bobby Flay Throwdown)
And Mexican Cornbread...
Payson showed off her Lilly Pulitzer Surfer Girl dress (Not as great as the Cape Cod dress but still pretty cute!)...
And played bubbles with grammy on the deck.
After we ate we headed outside for some pictures (good luck seeing our faces as we were completely shadowed by the pear tree)...
And Lily enjoyed celery??
So, it was a great first Mother's Day and I am happy to be able to celebrate another holiday. Afterall, who couldn't use another holiday to celebrate! The food came out awesome if I may say so myself. The crabcake and cornbread recipes were from Padma (the lady from Top Chef). Sooo Goood!!!
Today is Payson's 7 month birthday and we will be doing her photo shoot tonight when I get home from work. Stay tuned for a picture post tonight! Oh, and the little one is sleeping better...for now. She only woke up once last night and we didn't feed her. It took a little bit of convincing but she went back to sleep and slept until 7am this morning (she was in bed by 9pm last night). I fed her this morning and we snuggled for a little while in our bed and she looked sleepy again. I put her in her swing in her room at 8 and she slept until 10. Not bad huh? I could get used to this, but I won't because I know that it will change!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!
Once again, the pictures are great. I love seeing how Miss Payson is getting more and more adorable, and as always, I enjoy the candid shots of Lily. (It would be nice to have you stop by with them for a visit...)
Can you e-mail me the recipes for the coconut crab cakes and the Mexican corn bread...they look so delicious !!!!
Thanks, Fran
