More, More, More and "the pen"!

Since Payson was about 5 months old we have been using sign language with her. Neither one of us actually know sign language but we have been doing some basic signs for babies so she can tell us what she needs. Over the last few weeks she has really started to sign a lot. Since she is not yet able to actually say too much yet the signs help her communicate with us. One her favorite signs right now is "more"...here she is right after I put a nice healthy brown rice, pea, and broccoli lunch down for her. She never touched it and kept signing "more"...in other words, she wanted more of something else. She takes after the Price girls in that she is a big fan of carbs and cheese!

She also likes to use the sign for milk and has started to use the sign for eat and can give her daddy a high 5! Her favorite word right now is "Yiggy" which means kitty and Lily. She crawls around after the animals yelling yiggy, yiggy, yiggy.

She also has a cool new pen to play in. This thing is the greatest. I can pop her in there with her little kitchen and a million toys and I can get some chores done. Don't judge me...I know it looks like a cage but she really does enjoy it and we only put her in there so she doesn't crawl into the basement or out the front door ;0)

Daddy likes to hang out in the pen too.

Hi La! We actually had three of those pens when Aussie was a baby. He had the whole living room enclosed. They are the best! Sweet Baby Girl is getting tooooo big. Give her big kisses from all of us! Oh- I get my laptop back tomorrow so I can start blogging again, too. Yaaay!

Our house is full of gates and all kinds of barricades for our littlest one. Life sure gets tricky once a baby is mobile and busy.

Good job with the signing and healthy meal making. I've been a slacker with my sign teaching...maybe that's due to all the carbs and cheese I eat.
