Take a Hike!

This is a post that I meant to do a while ago but life got in the way...

This is a picture of the beautiful flowers that my husband had for me on our anniversary (2 weeks ago). And a beautiful little girl with her momma ( I am bright red because I had just returned from a run)

The day after our Anni we headed out to Wellfleet sans baby to go exploring. Jill had given us directions to a beach/dune trail that was supposed to be beautiful.

To put it very simply...WE GOT LOST!!!

I am not sure how it happened but we started off on a trail that had a sign saying it was a fire lane. It was nice and wide for a fire truck to get through...about a mile or two in the "trail" was barelywide enough for one person tto walk on and was completely overgrown. There was no way that humans had set foot on this path in a very long time. I panicked a little bit but the real panic didn't set in until it started to get dark and we were completely in the woods. The funny part is that the Cape in Wellfleet is totally narrow so you would think that we would have hit a road or the ocean at some point. Maybe we were walking in one big circle!

Anyway, it was an adventure...

Don't get me wrong, I love hiking and taking walks at the beach. This was just a little bit more than I bargained for. Jill, we will have to get the directions from you again so we can actually find the right trail....I am so sure this was not it.
