My Backyard Oasis!

I LOVE yardwork! It makes me happy. Maybe because it is a sign of spring...finally warm enough to get outside and clean up the dreariness of the winter.

We just had some new neighbors move in next door (behind us actually). Want to know what makes them so wonderful? They are putting up a fence!! Woo-Hoo! So, that means that we can create a nice private backyard oasis for mama and a beautiful new play area for the Pay. We spent all day Sunday ripping up the yard and laying grass seed. I am hoping for a beautiful lush lawn just like the picture of the yard on the grass seed package. We'll see what happens. Payson napped through the roto-tilling right outside her window but woke up in time to help with the yard work. This little girl just loves to be outside. I can't wait for summer with her, she is going to be a blast to hang out with!

Unfortunately she was still napping when Rob found this worm. She would have loved it! Are you kidding me though,,,have you ever seen a worm this big? It was more like a snake! We put it in a potted plant to hold it until she woke up but it was gone when we went to retrieve it. Gross!
