The Dentist and the Doctor...

Pay had her first trip to the dentist a couple days ago. She has a "Little People" dentist named dentist Dan so we have been preparing her for her visit with him. She did a great job but would not sit in the chair. So, she sat in my lap and laid back into the dentist's lap. He was able to check out all of her teeth with the mirror and apply the flouride gel. She was so calm while he was looking in her mouth. I was very proud!

The train table in the waiting room kept her very busy. She may need one of these of her very own!

Here she is with dentist "Dan" (actually, I think his name was Hassam) and her goody bag.

Back at home with her "super patient" stickers and her empty box of floss. She pulled out every inch of it on the car ride home.

So, we had a little bit of Doctor drama this morning. Last night Rob noticed a bite mark on her leg that looked like a bullseye. This morning it looked worse so I called the on-call pedi. She was really nice and told us that she would meet us at the hospital in 45 minutes. Talk about great service, she had us bypass the ER and go straight to the pediatric ward. She took a look at it and thought that it was probably a spider bite but the bullseye pattern made her nervous. So the poor little monkey had to have blood drawn to rule out Lyme disease. She was very brave and very excited to get a Care Bear band-aid and an adorable stuffed animal (now named Daisy). We should get the results in 3 or 4 days....fingers crossed.

Sounds like she's getting good training to deal well with doctors and dentists. I'll be thinking of you all and hoping everything's fine.
