Our Day...

...started off a little bit sad. Lily had a bump on her leg last week that we had the vet take a look at. They called with the results on Saturday night and it is a mast cell tumor. not good. Luckily we caught it early so it was still a low grade but they wanted to remove it as soon as possible. Here is the Pay with her Lily Bee wishing her well for her surgery today. We heard back from the vet tonight and they said the surgery went very well and although they had to remove a large chunk from her leg they are hopful that they were able to get all of the cancerous cells. We can't wait to pick her up in the morning. Poor Lily bee...she is such a good dog and we love her so much.

On a wetter note...Pay loves the hose and will drink gallons of water out of it every afternoon. She hangs out in the backyard in her birthday suit everyday after her nap. We are working on potty training so her potty is on the patio but she really prefers to pee in the grass. We'll see how this goes...I just feel like this will be accomplished easier in the summertime. But, we all know the final decision is up to her.

***Did you know that you should let the hose run for a couple of minutes before you let your kids drink out of it? I didn't until a couple of months ago. Turns out that hoses contain high levels of lead that seeps into the water while it sits in the hose. So flush out your hose to get rid of it or buy one of the new lead-free hoses. Just a little tip from one mama to another.

And the UPS guy showed up with her new ladybug floaties. She is a little bit under the weight limit but she loves them and I have a feeling we will be using them before she is 30 lbs.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my big brother!! Hope you had a great day!
