The Pay Stats!

At her 2 year appointment she measured 36 inches tall (95 %-ile) and 26.4 lbs (50 %-ile). She is in 2T clothing but with footed pajamas we are going to have to start buying her 3T because she is too tall for them.
She was a little bit anemic which she was at her 12 month appt (she was fine at her 18month appt). We have added in some iron fortified cereal (multigrain cheerios rock!)to her diet and have started to give her oj with her multivitamin. This should help her absorb the iron. She goes in this Friday for the vaccines that I delayed and we will check her iron again. I think that she is eating foods that inhibit the absorbtion of the iron rather than not getting enough of it. We'll see how my oj trick works...the idea of having to give her meat right now to correct this is not an idea that I am happy about but, we will do what it takes to keep the little miss healthy. (She is not a fan of beans or molasses or anything else on the list of high-iron foods)
Speaking of healthy, she has only ever been to the Dr for her well visits, I just can't get over how healthy she has been (knock on wood). Although, she does have a little cough right now, but she has been sleeping more the last few days and I am hoping that her body is fighting it off.
Let's see...what else?
Although Iwas initially against getting the H1N1 vaccination for Pay or myself, I gave in. They were available at her appt 2 weeks ago and Dr. katie let me know that they were already seeing kids everyday with the Swine so I decided to go for it. Ugghh, not an easy decision for this mama. We go back on Friday for her Seasonal flu and HepB (I think) vaccinations as I didn't want her getting them all at once.
Since I am pregs and my work offered me the shot, I got one too. I hope it was the right decision for both of us.
Back to the Pay...
This age is sooo fun! She has her moments but will let us know when they are over. She will say, "Dada, I had a meltdown". Her speach is unbelievable. She is such a talker it is amazing. Yesterday while she was eating her lunch she told me that she was going to harvest cranberries by filling them up with water and scooping them up. Okay Pay that sounds great but where the heck do you come up with this stuff?? Gram admits to home-schooling her on their rides in the car :o).
She has a funny habit of saying sorry mama/dada when one of us has hurt her. If I am combing her hair and there is a knot in it she always says sorry mama when I should be saying it to her! And, she always says I love you to everyone...Gosh she is just too sweet!
She starts her swim lessons at the "Y" on Monday with dada and will hopefully start gymnastics in January.
She is a cool kid! the only problem is that she wants to name her baby brother Caillou!
