In the words of Dora the Explorer..."We Did It!"

Rob and I had no idea how much work 3 days of potty training would be. We are exhausted but here are the stats:
Day 1-2 accidents
Day 2-3 accidents
Day 3-0 accidents!!!!
It has been an intense 3 days to say the least. But we are confident that Pay is on her way to being completely potty-trained! I think the hardest part of the weekend was having to stay home. You don't realize how much going out to do an errand or 2 breaks up your day with a toddler until you are stuck in the house all day. We don't keep the TV on much for Pay in general but it took everything in me not to pop in some Dora. She gets sooo zoned into TV though that I think she would have had many more accidents. Her focus would have surely been on Dora rather than on her bladder!
I realized that you really have to go into these 3 days very committed. It was so tempting to put a diaper on her so we didn't have to follow her around every second repeating, "Pay, do you need to go potty?" It was also very hard for me to have the house in such disarray. The pretty rugs were replaced with a large washable blanket and many, many towels (poor little thing wasn't allowed to sit anywhere without a folded towel under her hiney). There are all kinds of crafts supplies in every nook and cranny of the living room. And there are 3 people and 3 pets who are not used to having this much "together-time". It makes us realize just how badly we are growing out of this house. It seems we are repeatedly tripping over and bumping into each other.
Thank goodness Gram came over on Day 2 during Pay's nap so Rob and I could sneak away for a couple of hours. We headed off Cape to look at yet another car. We have been car shopping(my absolute least favorite thing) for the last couple of weeks and were able to get a great car yesterday...in and out of the dealership in 1.5 hours. It was the first time we had even looked at this type of car yet we ended up leaving without my beloved VW. I can't believe it all happened so fast...it was a wonderful car-buying experience...and we got a super deal! So, now we have a beautiful "new to us" '07 Dodge Durango. It has a 3rd row which I am soooo excited about. We folded it down and we were able to fit Lily Bee and a travel potty back there with tons of room to spare. We took Pay to Toy-R-Us for her 1 hour outing today and Rob jumped in the back of the new truck and Pay was able to completely stand up and then use her potty (tinted windows of course). It's a very convenient potty-training car!
All-in-all The Bowens had an emotionally draining but wonderfully successful 3 days!
And we couldn't be more proud of our beautiful and smart little girl:

Yay for you guys! Sounds like a very good past few days for you all.

And I too love having a third row in my car...It makes long car rides way more bearable for all.
