We headed to the Green Briar Nature Center Tuesday morning to go on their Amphibian Romp.
Payson loved it...she is so into nature and bugs and really any type of creature. We started in the classroom where she got to look at tadpoles, frog eggs, and a few different types of frogs.

Then the group moved outside and explored the walking trails looking for salamanders and the cranberry bog and pond searching for more creatures.
Her favorite part was "fishing" in the pond with her stick. She keeps telling us that she wants her own fishing pole with kitties on it. She wants to fish with dada at Sandy Neck. Hmmm, not sure how that will go since dada has not caught a fish at Sandy Neck with his real fishing pole. Maybe we'll start her out at a stocked pond so she doesn't lose interest.
And, in case you are wondering how Bear did...he slept through everything and enjoyed "lunch" in the car with mama.

knowing how much the little ones enjoy nature and the environment makes me that much prouder of the degree I am getting and the work I am doing...it is so worth it if only so little Payson and Baylor can continue to enjoy clean rivers and ponds with tons of creatures to explore! keep up the awesome job of engaging them in the world around them! YAY!
Cape Cod has such wonderful natural science programs! I still so fondly remember my 5th grade trip to the National Seashore. Your kids are so lucky to have all that available to them.
