10 months

Our sweet boy is moving like crazy (he prefers the butt-scoot on the hardwood floor and then switches to the crawl on the rug).   In fact, he is so quick that the day before we left for Florida he fell off of our bed.  I turned around to get something out of the closet and in that one second he was at the edge of the bed.  I dove for him, but it was too late.  Some say it is a rite of passage for kids...I say it Sucks!  Hearing that already big head hitting the hard wood floor was not a sound I would ever like to hear again.  He survived... but the mama was a little shell-shocked.
His hair is out of control still.  When not in a finely coiffed mohawk well, it looks like he was struck by lightning.  HE is really starting to say words or at least sounds.  He will imitate lots of sounds.  He looked at Gram tonight and said "I-ra-ru"...in other words I love you.  Rob had just said it to him and he was trying to repeat it.  I think I witnessed Gram's heart melt right there.  He says crackers and banana and mama and dada on a daily basis.  He seems to understand so much.  he will take his paci out of his mouth when I say "No paci".
Speaking of the paci...ugghhh!  I don't like the paci...never have.  I used to call it the "shut-up plug".  Pay wanted nothing to do with one which worked out great since we never really gave her the option.  But, with Baylor the pedi told me it could help prevent SIDS.  So, I fell victim to the paci.  Now, look what I am dealing with...if you can't see it , there is one in his mouth and the "safety" in his hand.  Not cool Buggy, not cool!  For some reason he did not like his carseat in Florida (too hot, I think) so we used the paci a lot.  Now, we're screwed!

We love you Buggy and Pay loves her Chug-a-lug!
Happy 10 months sweet boy!

I'm sorry about the paci situation, but that picture of the sleeping baby with his pacis sure is sweet.
